There are big ships and small ships. But the best ship of all is friendship.

“A blessed thing it is for any man or woman to have a friend, one human soul whom we can trust utterly, who knows the best and worst of us, and who loves us in spite of all our faults.” ~ Charles Kingsley

When ancient ships would drift apart at sea, they would often use beacons of light to signal the other. You can’t latch onto another vessel that has drifted too far away but you can provide the means for them to navigate back towards you. One degree at a time, slowly but surely, over the vastness of ocean between you.

Find the light, that warm and familiar feeling that brought you together in the first place, and signal your friend. Perhaps they feel as lost as you? Then set your compass in the right direction and wait. Use that time to discover the err in your calculations. For even the smallest deviation from your heading of friendship may not seem apparent at first, but on such a long journey, you may both end up lost and far from each other.

To my best friend Arjie a.k.a Monkey I miss you.

I Am Loved By A Great Man

•June 22, 2011 • Leave a Comment

Love is not how long we’ve been together, it’s how we value each other. I just want to Thank You for being YOU. You are so understanding, honest and pure, thank you for being there for me through good and bad, for loving me for who I am. No other man will come close to what you are in my life. You came in my life when I was already giving up on love and restored that love again, I know we have ups and downs like any other relationship but know that you are always in my thoughts wherever I go and wherever I am and its all because of the love and respect you give and show me. I love you with all my heart. I am grateful to have you in my life, you are a friend and partner to die for and everything that I have ever wished for.

Love has a new meaning because of you – damn it feels good to have you! How does one measure a good man?! To me it’s one who comforts me in my moments of weakness, shares in my joyous moments wishes only the greatest for me, probably nudges me out of bed for a run or rather a cup of coffee… one who loves me compassionately. You have a good heart, are mature, ambitious, romantic, honest, reliable, caring, patient and humble.

You know how to make me laugh – that laugh that has me in tears gasping for air. You inspire me. You have given me your heart, and I promise to take good care of it. You are someone I would want to show off to the whole world, someone I can trust with my all my heart, someone I highly respect. You are a gentleman, soft spoken, gorgeous and handsome *wink*. You are always dependable, and I wouldn’t want you to change for anything in the world!! You mean everything to me! You’re the man that I want to share my most vulnerable moments, my most stressful moments, my worst moments and my most joyful moments with. Yes, we argue, we have our differences but I can’t imagine going through the highs and lows that are thrown at me with anyone else. You are more than just my man, you have become a part of me. Our differences range from untidiness to belief… But I respect your differences and I Thank You for respecting mine. I thank Allah for blessing me with such a phenomenal man. A man so thoughtful, kind-hearted and loving. What more can I ask for in life?

Despite the long distance, we both have pushed for the relationship to work. I will never forget how we met, it was and always will be the greatest thing that ever happened in my entire life. Here we are, building a new relationship and in 26 days we will be seeing each other. You are hardworking, intelligent, funny, ridiculously good-looking, dress well and most of all – you love me, trust me and respect me.

Your positivity inspires me and you are not judgmental. All of us in life are not without faults, the thing is to find ways to better ourselves everyday to become the person we most want to be. I appreciate you for being the person you are. Saying “I love you” is just NOT enough when it comes to you and words are not enough to describe the depth of my love and appreciation for you. Baby you mean the world to me. I know what the future hold for me and you are the one person who loves me with all my faults and flaws. You are loving and caring and always go out of your way to make me happy. I enjoy every moment that I spend with you my love. You make me laugh, and I am never afraid to be me, when I am with you. Many more blissful years to come and InsyAllah, we will weather the storm together through thick and thin in the future. You have taught me to love without limit. I want the world to know that I am loved by a Great Man and I feel blessed and honoured. I love you unconditionally. Muacks!!! DiDAn xxx

You are a great man and I think we could be more

You dug so deep within my heart and now you stick to my inner core

You’re like my true inspiration, you give me the strength to move on

You’re like the perfect picture but you were never drawn

This is not a coincidence and it could never be a mistake

Your words and kindness make my soul feel warm, off its embrace

I can’t wait to see you, for you to hold me in your arms

For you to whisper things I want to hear and fill my cup with charm

I was so empty and lonely when you weren’t with me here

And now that I have you close, I want us to be so near

I want us to be together, even though I don’t know you well

But maybe we should wait and see if time will tell

I think this is the beginning of something strong and true

Don’t ever go away because I’m beginning to attach to you

I wonder what will come of this odd and simple romance

Maybe a first kiss and a simple embracive dance

So, when you think of me think of all the words I’ve said

And don’t ever forget that I could be the best thing you’ve ever had

And you could be the bestest thing I ever had.

We got together like cookies & milk (DidiDan)

All I Want Is You

 Journey of Hearts ~DidiDan

If I was a flower growing wild and free
All I’d want is you to be my sweet honey bee.
And if I was a tree growing tall and green
All I’d want is you to shade me and be my leaves

If you were a river in the mountains tall,
The rumble of your water would be my call.
If you were the winter, I know I’d be the snow
Just as long as you were with me, let the cold winds blow

If you were a wink, I’d be a nod
If you were a seed, well I’d be a pod.
If you were the floor, I’d wanna be the rug
And if you were a kiss, I know I’d be a hug

If you were the wood, I’d be the fire.
If you were the love, I’d be the desire.
If you were a castle, I’d be your moat,
And if you were an ocean, I’d learn to float

All I want is you, will you be by my side
Take me by the hand and stand by my side
All I want is you, will you stay with me?
Hold me in your arms and sway me like the sea.

Stop and smell the Rose
God made it for you
He loves and he knows.

Have à great day tomorrow my love.

Your message made my day special sweetheart. Thank you!

Am I in love?

“Life without love is like a tree without blossoms or fruit.”
“Love has no other desire but to fulfill itself. To melt and be like a running brook that sings its melody to the night. To wake at dawn with a winged heart and give thanks for another day of loving.” ~ Kahlil Gibran on love

Usually if you ask yourself “Am I in love?’ it means you’re not, because when you’re fallen in love you already have no questions, this feeling is to obvious to leave any doubts. So it’s more reasonable to count the consequences of it than to look for the signs.

“My thoughts are free to go anywhere, but it’s surprising how often they head in your direction.” ~Unknown

You can’t stop thinking of he/she on your mind when you’re working, spending time with friends, jogging in the morning or relaxing in evening. The vision of your object is haunting your mind like a ghost and it never works when you tell yourself not to think of him or her. You remember all the time spent together, every single word, gesture and look.

Love-sickness can be compared to a feather: you’re either flying high, all filled with enthusiasm and energy, that when people around start to wonder if you’re in love or you’re deeply depressed, indifferent, nervous, don’t see in life any bright sides. No third variant is possible. You sleep like a baby or suffer from insomnia. You shine and think you’re the best. You are afraid to leave phone for a moment because you sure that’ll be the moment he or she will be calling.

Nothing makes a person happier when he/she realises that the feeling is mutual. People in love look better, feel better and attract more attention from the people of the other sex than they are in their normal state. When you are in love single look of your object, anything that gives you the slightest hope and you’re already somewhere above sky. You’re ready to work on yourself because your object is worth only the best. You may start a diet or go to a fitness club. Women buy tonnes of cosmetics, fill the wardrobe with new clothes. But when you’re sure that your object won’t be there you may start being rather negligent to your appearance because you’re simply not interested in anyone’s else attention.

You may start to annoy your friends with endless talks about what he or she’s done or said. And you may notice that people around are looking at you with some mix of envy and compassion. A person in love always looks a little bit crazy and different to the others and we usually think that he/she’s totally mindless but “look at him/he” – he/she’s so very happy. When you’re in love your own problems don’t matter a thing, you don’t even notice them, but the one sad sigh of the object and the word starts ruining for you.

“The Chemistry of love”

Falling in love is based on some chemical processes (not only on them of course), but they are the reason for the euphoria, trembling knees, heart beating, temperature rises, loosing breath and mind at one time. These processes even change the smell of your body. In general they work like come psycho stimulators and you’re willing to see and to hear your object in search of a new portion of that sharp feeling. By the way each time we keep busy doing something we like (hobby or favorite occupation) the similar processes start in motion.

So if you find yourself in love enjoy that feeling because pleasure not only makes us happy but gives us that happy look that attracts people and luck.

Ingredients For A Happy Relationship

  • 5 tablespoons Adjustment
  • 5 tablespoons Understanding
  • 5 tablespoons Patience
  • 5 tablespoons Loyalty and Devotion
  • 5 tablespoons Empathy

Mix these ingredients together and apply it daily in your life. When both the partners do their bit of adding 5 tablespoons from their side, the relationship gets 10/10.

Everything has changed since the day we met and i miss you a lot my älskling.
